Connective Peripherals is supplying adaptor cables to connect USB Type-C ports to interfaces including RS232, TTL and MPSSE – in either Full-Speed or High-Speed versions.

The parts include ICs from Scottish semiconductor maker FTDI, and Connective Peripherals is an FTDI-approved module and cabling subcontractor.

The cables “will be of considerable value to engineers, by helping to facilitate the interconnection of modern electronics hardware with legacy equipment and peripherals”, according to Singapore-based Connective Peripherals. We are “currently the only supplier on the market offering High-Speed moulded cables with Type-C terminations. These cables feature lightweight, but robust and reliable, construction and are available in lengths dependent on the particular model specified”.

Among the cables are:

Other products (with built-in transmitter/receive indicator, plus Windows, MAC and Linux drivers) include:

Parts are FCC and CE compliant.

Applications are foreseen in test, instrumentation, debug, industrial drives, industrial controls, office equipment, point-of-sale, barcode scanners and evaluating FTDI chips.
