Nintendo's latest financial reports have revealed an updated list of the 10 best-selling Nintendo Switch games since the console launched in 2017. The Nintendo Switch came out of the gate swinging with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as a launch title in 2017, and Nintendo has continued to support its home console/handheld hybrid ever since then with a constant stream of new game releases.

After the general failure that was the Wii U, Nintendo has made sure that there is never a lack of games to play on its Switch console. Besides brand-new game releases, Nintendo has also bolstered the Switch's library with enhanced Wii U ports and access to classic games through the Switch Online service. For those curious as to how Nintendo's games have been performing on the platform, the company recently released an updated list of the 10 best-selling Switch games of all time.

Leading the pack is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which has sold a staggering 55.46 million units so far, followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons with 42.79 million, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with 31.77 million, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with 30.65 million, Super Mario Odyssey with 26.44 million, Pokemon Sword and Shield with 25.92 million, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with 22.66 million, Super Mario Party with 19.39 million, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with 18.51 million, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe with 16.17 million.

Out of these games, two are enhanced Wii U titles, including the best-selling Switch game. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe originated as a Wii U exclusive, but Nintendo brought the popular kart racer to its newest console with new content and continues to release new tracks for the game to this day. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe similarly started life as a Wii U game, but with the Wii U selling so poorly compared to the Switch, it definitely made sense for Nintendo to bring it to its newest console.

It's likely that this time next year, the top 10 best-selling Switch games will look quite a bit different. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have already broken sales records and are almost certainly going to jump up the chart. Same goes for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which has only been out for a few months at this point and has already skyrocketed to the top 10. And considering the success of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, it's a safe bet that Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be a smash hit and find itself in the top 10 best-selling Switch games before too long.
