Hardly a week seems to go by without the computer accessory brand Plugable releasing yet another new product. This week it’s the turn of a handy little single-chip hub, the USBC-4IN1. This is the first single-chip hub from Plugable and it’s designed for people with lightweight USB-C laptops with minimal ports and connectivity.

Plugable claims that the USBC-4IN1 is the first hub on the market to use the PS188 chip. This new and innovative chip has enabled Plugable to reduce the size of the hub while still providing a dual-function USB-C port capable of both 100W power pass-through charging and high-speed 10Gbps data transfer.

The company says the USBC-4IN1 is the only hub in its class to carry a 100W charge and high-speed data simultaneously through a single port. And because the PS188 chip is so tiny, the hub can be made compact enough to fit in the palm of a user’s hand while still providing an HDMI 2.0 port that’s capable of driving an external 4K display with a refresh rate of 60Hz for crisp and clear visuals.
