The Vaxis ATOM 600 HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter/Receiver Kit is a follow-up to the ATOM 500 series. The system works on 5.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies.

I previously reviewed the ATOM 500 on the site more than 3 years ago.

The ATOM 600 HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter/Receiver Kit enables visually lossless video transmission and reception with a claimed latency of less than 80 ms latency.

It has claimed range of up to 600′ / 182.88m (line of site). The transmitter and receiver each feature a bright OLED display and a cooling fan that can be turned on and off to prevent undesirable noise when recording.

The units may be powered by L-series batteries, and a USB-C connector provides connectivity for firmware updates and may also be used as a 5V/2A power output.

The integrated dual antenna with 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency support provides a stronger signal and faster transfer rates. It is compatible with all Atom ecosystem devices with support for Trigger Record functionality.

What is nice is that you can use the ATOM 600 with any of the previous ATOM products from VAXIS. I am glad they have done this because it doesn’t make your older products obsolete.

Just like previous devices you can transmit video via Wi-Fi to up to four devices. One TX unit can transmit to two RX units and three mobile devices simultaneously.

The ATOM 600 RX and TX have the following inputs and outputs:

Transmitter: 1 x HDMI Input Transmitter: 1 x HDMI Output Receiver: 2 x HDMI Output

The TX and RX units weigh just 5.3 oz / 150 g each.

The Vaxis ATOM 600 HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter/Receiver Kit is now available to pre-order for $409 USD.

You can buy TX and RX units individually for $209 USD.
