(1) The soft chain curling structure of octene make it both excellent toughness and good processability. (2) There is no unsaturated double bond in the molecular structure of POE plastic, which has excellent aging resistance. (3) POE plastic has narrow molecular weight distribution, good fluidity and good compatibility with polyolefin. (4) Good fluidity can improve the dispersion effect of the filler, but also improve the weld strength of the product. With the increase of POE plastic content, the impact strength and elongation at break of the system are greatly improved.
Polyolefin elastomer POE can be used for toughening modification of PP,PA and other plastics, which can be directly added and used, but the better application is to grafting modification of POE, and blending and composite modification with PP and PA, so as to obtain toughening composite materials with better compatibility. The addition of POE can improve the toughness, low temperature resistance and aging resistance of PP and PA materials, but the rigidity of the materials will be lost.
It can be seen that POE plastic has excellent toughening effect on PP, and has good compatibility with PP and active calcium carbonate
